At Northridge Veterinary Clinic and Rehabilitation, we offer a full rehabilitation program using modern, advanced technology along with ancient techniques to provide a variety of treatments for each pet’s specific needs.
Pet Rehabilitation
We offer hydrotherapy, laser therapy, acupuncture, and much more. Rehabilitation can aid in improving your pet’s quality of life. We use rehabilitation to help with genetic diseases, post-surgical recovery, weight management, conditioning, and better mobility for older pets. If you have questions about rehabilitation or would like to know how it could benefit your pet, please call us to set up your consultation.
What is Rehabilitation Therapy?
Rehabilitation therapy is a treatment designed to facilitate the process of recovery from injury, disease, obesity, or illness to as normal a condition as possible.
What is a Rehabilitation Veterinarian?
This is any veterinarian who focuses on the rehabilitation of animals who are recovering from debilitating injuries, surgery, degenerative conditions, or old age.
At Northridge Veterinary Clinic and Rehabilitation, our veterinarians are unique. Northridge vets will see your animal through every step of their pathology, from preventative-care practices such as routine check-ups and vaccinations, to the diagnosis of injuries that lead to therapy and/or surgery, and to a speedy recovery.
American Association of Rehabilitation Veterinarians (AARV)
As part of the American Association of Rehabilitation Veterinarians (AARV), Drs. Mark and Amy Ekerberg have made a commitment to continue their education in veterinary physical rehabilitation and to use their extensive education to consider all body systems before making a diagnosis and developing an appropriate therapeutic plan for your pet.
What is Rehabilitation Therapy?
Our trained rehabilitation team works hard to design an individualized treatment program to improve your pet’s quality of life. Before starting a rehabilitation program, we hold an initial consultation to discuss your goals as well as build a relationship with our staff. Whether your pet is slowing down due to old age, suffering from an illness, or just needs some conditioning, we can help. Our goal is to aid your pet in living life to the fullest.

Absolutely. More commonly rehabilitation is associated with the recovery process after a treatment rather than a treatment itself, but a weakening older pet who struggles to perform everyday tasks such as rising, climbing stairs and daily walks, rehabilitation can be a form of treatment.
Customized Therapy
We believe that for your pet to be successful with rehabilitation, an individualized, tailored program is needed. Each program is modified using a multimodal approach to help your pet. The ability to use a combination of modalities will help your pet recover to as normal a condition as possible.
